More info regarding Reactor Dispatch and Reactor MDT

Hey everyone. Today, I want to share some extra info about past, current and future projects.

We might have ended Reactor Dispatch a bit randomly, after a full rewrite [V3]. There is a reason, and it's also connected to the change from ReCAD to Reactor Dispatch.

Why did ReCAD become Reactor Dispatch? It didn't really feel like a CAD anymore. Yes, it had some CAD features, but it went more to dispatching.

Now, why did we end major support? Because there weren't a lot of "logical" features left, mainly. We could add 50 more 10 codes to dispatch, but, it wouldn't be an actual update style.

We also had to see the limits of python. After a certain point of features, python isn't strong enough to give a fun tool, neither does it have the extensions. There are LOTS of modules for python. But at some point, things aren't possible anymore.

Now, moving on to more info about Reactor MDT. This won't full "replace" Reactor Dispatch. Can you use it together? Yes. Use Reactor Dispatch for just RP, talking to dispatch. Use Reactor MDT for actually doing things.

Another quick answer to "why can Reactor MDT have this, but Reactor Dispatch can't". Reactor MDT is a new project. When you look back at Reactor Dispatch V1, it wasn't the meaning to be "big". But it did.

That's why we rewrote it. We could choose: we want to add this, and build on that. For RDV3 [Reactor Dispatch V3], that was an actual dispatch. For Reactor MDT, that's a fully interactable GUI MDT.

What will Reactor MDT contain: A fully working login system with local accounts - Settings - 4 report types, all worked out much better - exporting reports in 3 different ways

AI reviewd warrant system - maps - online system with your own server [custom ranks, callsigns, server name, more than 2 players...] and much more.

I hope this clears thinsg up and gives a better look at Reactor MDT. For more teasers, join our discord, and check out the Reactor MDT project page.

Stay safe, officers!
